Women's Swimming Victorious for Second Straight Day

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Bridgewater College women's swimming team won for the second straight night, defeating Gallaudet 201-40 on Saturday.

Kelley Hilliker won both the 1000 free (12:02.84) and the 50 fly (29.35), while her sister Kaitlyn Hilliker won the 50 free (28.60).

The siblings also teamed up to win the 200 free relay, along with Laurel Glover and Olivia Heeb-Wade, in 1:51.57.

Kaitlin, Glover, Zoe Moore and Rachael King opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, in 2:07.95.

Heeb-Wade won three individual events, touching first in the 200 free (2:13.54), 50 breast (34.56) and 500 free (5:47.62)

Moore, who won both the 100 breast (1:15.12) and 100 IM (1:08.93), was one of two BC rookies to take home two individual races. She was joined by teammate Amanda Nesselrodt, the victor in the 50 back (31.58) and 100 back (1:09.58).

The Eagles also got event wins from King in the 100 fly (1:11.91) and Genevieve Young in the 100 free (1:02.35).

Bridgewater (2-0) will swim next on Friday, Nov. 2 at Ferrum.
