Women's Swimming Wraps Up Yellow Jacket Invite

ASHLAND, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's swimming team placed seventh at the Yellow Jacket Invitational, getting a school record and three individual top-10 finishes.

That included two from Olivia Heeb-Wade, including a new school record of 18:51.69 in the 1650 yard freestyle. Zoe Moore was also 12th in that event (19:28.66).

Heeb-Wade had BC's highest finish of the day, placing eighth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.38. Moore was 11th (1:12.37) and Jenna Walmer was 18th (1:16.05).

Rachael King was 10th in the 200 fly (2:27.46), with freshman Jessica Touve placing 12th in 2:28.27.

King was also 12th in the 400 IM (5:02.03), with Kelley Hilliker placing 14th (5:05.44). Hilliker later placed 13th in the 100 back, in 1:04.92.

Amanda Nesselrodt was 19th in the 200 back (2:28.42), and Laurel Glover finished 20th in the 200 free (2:09.92).

The Eagles closed the meet with Moore, Heeb-Wade, Glover and Hilliker placed 12th in the 400 free relay (3:54.59).

Heeb-Wade had added a 12th place finish in the 500 free in Friday evening's events; Moore was 11th overall in the 50 free on Friday.

Bridgewater finished with 484 points to place seventh of eight competing teams in a tough field. The Eagles will be back in action at home on January 11 vs. Roanoke.
