Eagles Win Every Event at Virginia Wesleyan

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's swimming team won all 13 events at Virginia Wesleyan, beating the Marlins 190-29 on Saturday.

That included a new school record by Kelley Hilliker in the 100 IM, swimming 1:05.44 to edge the yardage mark by .34 seconds.

Hilliker also won the 100 back in 1:04.54, while her sister Kaitlyn Hilliker took first place in the 200 free (2:14.67).

Two Eagles won three individual events. Olivia Heeb-Wade took the 1650 free (19:19.87), 50 free (27.12) and 200 breast (2:41.30), and Emma Daw claimed the 100 breast (1:15.57), 100 free (59.17) and 100 fly (1:07.12).

Rachael King added two event wins, in the 200 fly (2:23.33) and 200 back (2:32.28). Jessica Touve took the 500 free with a time of 5:45.28.

Bridgewater won the 200 medley relay, with Morgan Beauregard, Daw, King and Jessy Wilson touching in 2:06.44.

The Eagles are 5-1, 4-1 ODAC and will host Greensboro next Saturday. It will be Senior Day for Taylor Berard, Laurel Glover, Phoebe Hart, Hilliker, Jenna Walmer and Wilson.
