Women's Swimming in Fifth Place at ODACs

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Bridgewater College women's swimming team is in fifth place after one day at ODACs, 10 points ahead of sixth-place Randolph and 10 points behind fourth-place Emory & Henry.

Olivia Heeb-Wade improved her 500 free school record for the second time in a day, swimming 5:29.02 to place 14th. Kaitlyn Hilliker was 16th in 5:50.29.

In the 200 IM finals, Rachael King placed 11th in 2:18.39, and Jessica Touve was 14th (2:19.73).

Kelley Hilliker, Heeb-Wade, Emma Daw and Laurel Glover placed fifth in the 200 free relay in 1:43.83. Hilliker, Heeb-Wade, King and Daw had the same placing in the 400 medley relay, in 4:12.56.

In other Friday morning prelims, Glover placed 17th in the 500 free (5:49.27). Phoebe Hart finished 22nd in the 200 IM with a time of 2:50.93.

Competing in the 50 free were Daw (20th, 26.19), Genevieve Young (26th, 27.15), Jenna Walmer (27th, 27.47), Taylor Berard (29th, 27.70), Amanda Nesselrodt (31st, 28.25) and Lexi Lease (39th, 30.02).

Events resume tomorrow morning with prelims in the 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast and 100 back.
