BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's basketball staff will be offering a pair of camps this summer.
A co-ed day camp for 1st - 8th graders will be offered June 24-27 at the Bridgewater College Funkhouser Center. Learn the game of basketball and have fun! At Bridgewater's Women's Basketball Day Camp, girls and boys will have the opportunity to improve and enhance their fundamentals in a fun and instructional environment. Campers will receive hands-on instruction from Bridgewater staff and players while participating in skill stations, competitions and team play. Camp counselors are dedicated to making sure every camper receives quality instruction and has a positive experience while developing an increased enjoyment for the game of basketball!
Awards for hot-shot, knockout, one-on-one and free-throw champions will be provided. Each camper will receive a t-shirt. There will be 5-on-5 and 3-on-3 games with lots of individual attention from the camp staff.
There are two options for the camp: a half-day option and a full day option. The half-day option runs from 9:00 - 12:00 p.m. each day and costs $90. The full-day option runs from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. each day and costs $175.
The Eagles Women's Basketball Skills Clinic will be held June 24-26 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Funkhouser Center.
The Skills Clinics will focus on the proper mechanics and fundamentals of shooting, ball handling, passing, defending, etc through high-intensity skill development sessions for players that have a strong interest in developing their game. Our goal is to instruct each player at the clinic on how they can become a better all-around player by working on different skillsets at game speed on both ends of the court. Cost of the clinic is $25 per evening.
