BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Bridgewater College head women's soccer coach Mike Van Horn has announced that his Spring ID camp will be held on March 10, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the College. Cost of the camp is $85 and includes a t-shirt and lunch. All training sessions will be conducted at the Bridgewater College soccer practice facility.
The Spring ID Camp is designed for the serious soccer athlete whose ultimate goal is to play soccer in college. The women's soccer coaching staff wants to give players the opportunity to experience a collegiate training session, tour the College and meet the coaches, staff and players within our program.
Attending the Spring ID Camp gives players a unique opportunity to learn the coaching styles of BC's staff from one on one interaction. Since the Spring ID Camp is limited to the first 40 applicants, players have numerous opportunities to receive coaching points. BC's coaching staff evaluates and instructs players on their technical, tactical, physical and psychological performance and decisions.
The camp will be conducted by Van Horn and Bridgewater assistant coaches Hap Kwiatkowski and Matt Beaton.
Van Horn just completed his 11th season as head coach of the women's soccer program at Bridgewater where he has a 133-72-12 career record. This past season the Eagles finished with a 15-4-2 overall record. The Eagles earned the No. 1 seed for the ODAC Tournament for the first time in program history. The Eagles also received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, the program's first-ever appearance in the national tournament. Bridgewater had eight players earn All-ODAC recognition, including the conference's Rookie of the Year.
