FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Play continued Sunday at the ITA Southeast with members of the Bridgewater team experiencing success in the consolation rounds. The event is hosted by the University of Mary Washington.
In singles play, Whitney Kiser lost a close 8-6 match in the consolation quarterfinals while Nicole Shifflett lost in the C singles consolation quarters 8-1.
In E singles play, Ali Keister came up just short in the quarterfinal draw, losing her match 7-6, 7-5. Teammate Malena Hoover won two matches in the consolation draw, winning in the quarters 8-3 and then taking her semifinal match by an 8-3 margin.
In doubles action, Kiser-Shifflett moved to the B consolation semis where the duo dropped an 8-5 decision.
In C doubles action, Daigneault-Keister lost in the quarterfinal round 8-5. The Crawford-Hoover duo won two matches Sunday in the consolation draw, winning in the quarters 8-6 before taking an 8-0 victory in the semifinals.
