Women's Track and Field Competes at VMI Winter Relays

LEXINGTON, Va.- The Bridgewater College women's track and field team competed at day two of the VMI Winter Relays with strong marks from veterans and rookies.

Senior Tye Meador earned a 15th place finish in the triple jump (10.56m/34'64") while sophomore Erin Fitzpatrick placed fifth in the high jump (1.50m/4'92"). 

Kacee Hooker turned in another strong performance, running a 2:24.78 800m. That time is good for fifth all-time in Bridgewater College history. 

Savannah Blake placed 33rd in long jump (4.66m/15'29") and 39th in the 200m (27.94). Two other Eagles also placed in the 200m. Destiny Neff finished in 28.70 for 42th and Jordan Davis placed 44th with a 28.75. 

The women's track and field returns to action next weekend at the UCS Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.
