WINCHESTER, Va. - Felicia Clements set a new school record in the high jump at the Wilkins Center Invitational as the Bridgewater College women's track and field team earned 119 total points for a second place finish.
Clements set the record with a jump of 1.67m/5' 5¾". Calista Ariel also won two events, running a 2:26.50 in the 800 meters and a 5:16.83 in the mile. Emily Valle placed third in the 60 meter dash (8.24) and eighth in the 200 meters (28.39). English Jackson finished second in the mile (5:21.17) and in the 3000 meters (10:56.93). Ali Hill joined Ariel and Jackson in the mile, finishing in 14th (6:25.68).
Erin Fitzpatrick (9.91) and Davis (11.50) competed in the 60 meter hurdle finals, finishing in fourth and eighth respectively. Fitzpatrick also placed fourth in the high jump (1.50m/4' 11").
The 4x400 meter relay team of Cassidy Oliver, Blake, Rankin and Davis finished in fourth place (4:29.78).
Cameron Terrell placed third in the shot put (11.05m/36' 3"), followed by Nia Lloyd in fifth (10.93m/35' 10½"), Danielle Werner in eighth (10.60m/34' 9½") and Olivia Kloster in 15th (8.74m/28' 8¼"). Sydne Moseley placed second in the weight throw (13.91m/45' 7¾") with Kloster taking fifth (12.94m/42' 5½"), Lloyd taking seventh (11.77m/38' 7½") and Werner finishing in eighth (11.26m/36' 11½").
The Eagles will return to action next weekend at the VMI Keydet Invitational.
