Clements Sets School Record at Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, Va.Felicia Clements set a new school record in the high jump at the Wilkins Center Invitational as the Bridgewater College women's track and field team earned 119 total points for a second place finish. 

Clements set the record with a jump of 1.67m/5' 5¾". Calista Ariel also won two events, running a 2:26.50 in the 800 meters and a 5:16.83 in the mile.  Emily Valle placed third in the 60 meter dash (8.24) and eighth in the 200 meters (28.39). English Jackson finished second in the mile (5:21.17) and in the 3000 meters (10:56.93). Ali Hill joined Ariel and Jackson in the mile, finishing in 14th (6:25.68). 

Kacee Hooker placed second in the 200 meters (27.75), followed by Savannah Blake in ninth (28.45) and Jordan Davis in 13th (29.10), while Meredyth Rankin placed ninth in the 400 meters (1:07.95). 

Erin Fitzpatrick (9.91) and Davis (11.50) competed in the 60 meter hurdle finals, finishing in fourth and eighth respectively. Fitzpatrick also placed fourth in the high jump (1.50m/4' 11").

The 4x400 meter relay team of Cassidy Oliver, Blake, Rankin and Davis finished in fourth place (4:29.78). 

Three Eagles competed in the triple jump, with Savannah Blake placing second (10.02m/32' 10½"), Oliver in fourth (9.94m/32' 7½") and Susan Frierson in sixth (9.77m/32' 0 ¾"). 

Cameron Terrell placed third in the shot put (11.05m/36' 3"), followed by Nia Lloyd in fifth (10.93m/35' 10½"), Danielle Werner in eighth (10.60m/34' 9½") and Olivia Kloster in 15th (8.74m/28' 8¼"). Sydne Moseley placed second in the weight throw (13.91m/45' 7¾") with Kloster taking fifth (12.94m/42' 5½"), Lloyd taking seventh (11.77m/38' 7½") and Werner finishing in eighth (11.26m/36' 11½").

The Eagles will return to action next weekend at the VMI Keydet Invitational.
