Bridgewater, Va. - The Bridgewater College volleyball team defeated the Mary Baldwin University Fighting Squirrels on September 20. This marked the Eagles fifth straight win as they move to 9-2 on the season.
Victoria Wilson served fifteen straight points in the second and ended the set with a kill of her own. She currently leads the ODAC in assists and assists per set, averaging 9.72 a set. She would finish the night with 29 assists.
The Eagles wrapped up the match with a solid team performance in set three, highlighted by three kills each from Hanger and Bissmeyer. Hanger led the team with eight kills and a .889 hitting percentage. Bissmeyer and Deja Booker added seven each, with Bissmeyer also contributing a team high 12 digs. The Eagles had eleven service aces in the match.
Bridgewater travels north to Baltimore to take on Goucher College and Misericordia University in a tri-match on Saturday, September 22. The Eagles return home on September 25 to face Piedmont International for their annual Dig Pink Match.
